Five Days of Desert Hiking and Bedouin Camp Life in Wadi Rum
Walk through Wadi Rum with Bedouin guides, share meals in the desert and spend four nights between a traditional camp and an outdoor overnight.
Why it caught our eye
This journey spends time in the landscape rather than passing through it. Shared meals, a night outdoors when the group size allows, and walks between sandstone formations make the desert part of daily life.
About this experience
Let the sandstone landscapes set the pace for five days in Wadi Rum. Soul Tribe Travel brings guided desert walking together with camp life, tea by the fire and space for yoga and meditation. The route begins at Bedouin Yoga Camp, with Laura Di Salvo named as the retreat guide and local Bedouin guides leading the desert excursions.
What you can expect
After arrival and a camp gathering, a jeep excursion leads into a day of walking and an overnight under the stars. A later outing heads towards Jabal Umm Ad Dami, with an alternative when fewer than two guests book. Another walk visits Lawrence House or Mushroom Stone and takes roughly four to six hours. The source also describes yoga and meditation sessions, campfire evenings and a 1-hour camel ride back to Rum Village on the final day. Weather and group size can change the route.
