Emerging Waves: 5Rhythms at Tanzhaus Zürich

The five rhythms give the morning a clear structure without prescribing how you should move. Single-session attendance and stated concessions make it straightforward to try a class.

Wolfgang Schubert, a 5Rhythms teacher in training, leads a movement practice through Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness. There is room to explore your own way of moving, and no previous experience is required. Ron Hagendoorn and Mirjam van Hasselt are his training mentors. No advance registration is required for the Sunday classes on 4 or 18 October, or 8 or 15 November 2026, from 10:30 to 12:30. These are individual classes, not a course commitment. Times are local to Zürich (Europe/Zurich): CEST in October and CET in November. Classes take place in Studio 1 at Tanzhaus Zürich, Wasserwerkstrasse 127a, 8037 Zürich, Switzerland.

Each class costs CHF 30 at the regular rate. The organiser also lists CHF 25 for people on low incomes and CHF 20 for young people up to age 25; these concessions have eligibility conditions. The official class pages allow spontaneous attendance without advance registration. The 4 and 18 October classes also have Eventfrog booking pages. Doors open at 10:00 on those two dates. November door-opening times are not specified. There is a small changing area in the studio. Dance barefoot or in non-slip socks. German is listed from the original German class pages; the spoken language is not separately confirmed. VIRGINLANDS is the organiser named on the October booking pages, and Wolfgang Schubert leads the classes. For the 4 and 18 October classes, Eventfrog lists a CHF 30 standard ticket that cannot be cancelled. The optional CHF 34.95 Flex ticket can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the class, with CHF 0.52 deducted from the refund. Taxes are included. Online sales close at 12:30 on each of those two dates; this is not an advance registration requirement. These online ticket terms have not been confirmed for November. Tanzhaus Zürich states that its training rooms, changing rooms, entrance area and toilets are wheelchair accessible. Online tickets are personalised.
