Four-Week Ashtanga Foundations with Meri in Helsinki

Explore Ashtanga step by step with Meri Takkinen, returning each week to a beginner sequence, breathing and attentive movement.

Why it caught our eye

Returning to the same foundations across four weeks gives you time to revisit what you learn and ask questions as the practice becomes more familiar.

About this experience

Start building an Ashtanga practice with Meri Takkinen at Helsinki Astanga Yoga School. Over four weekly sessions, you will explore a beginner sequence and the way breath gives movement its rhythm. The course offers a structured introduction for people curious about a dynamic form of yoga.

What you can expect

Each session lasts 60 minutes. Meri introduces postures, the breathing method used in Ashtanga, focused attention and bandhas, the muscular engagements often called locks in yoga. Vinyasa links the postures with the breath.

Good to know before you go
