Bhagavad Gita: Yoga Philosophy for Everyday Life
Explore the Bhagavad Gita with Kate Holcombe through discussion, yoga philosophy and practical reflection.
Why it caught our eye
Reading the Bhagavad Gita alongside the Yoga Sutra gives you two perspectives on shared yoga themes, with discussion that brings those ideas into everyday life.
About this experience
What can an ancient text offer your everyday life? This workshop explores the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu text, alongside the Yoga Sutra, a foundational text of yoga philosophy. Kate Holcombe invites you to notice their different approaches to shared themes and consider how those ideas relate to daily life.
What you can expect
A 3-hour guided workshop with discussion and practical applications. The group uses Eknath Easwaran’s translation of the Bhagavad Gita. Familiarity with Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra may help, but is not required; the organiser welcomes beginners.
Good to know before you go
Reading the Bhagavad Gita beforehand is recommended. Arrive 10–15 minutes early and bring a mat and water bottle; mats can be rented at the studio. Wear comfortable clothing and layers.
