Explore mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters
A free, 1-hour online session about becoming a volunteer mentor in the Bay Area.
Why it caught our eye
The session offers a clear first step for people considering a mentoring role, with time to understand the program, requirements and matching process before applying.
About this experience
Curious about mentoring? Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area invites you to a free online information session about its programs, volunteer requirements and matching process. The organisation says it especially needs mentors around Antioch, Vallejo, Richmond, Oakland and Hayward.
What you can expect
An introduction to the organisation’s mentoring programs, what volunteers are asked to do and how the matching process works, with time to learn whether the role may suit you.
Good to know before you go
Free online session. Register through Eventbrite; the organiser says joining details will be emailed the day before. This is an introduction to mentoring, rather than a volunteer placement.
