Bridge to Volunteering: Find Your First Step

It gives you time to understand a role before committing, with practical guidance on choosing where and how to help.

Want to contribute to your community but unsure where to begin? Join The Centre for Volunteering for a guided online conversation about volunteering in New South Wales. You’ll explore what a role can involve and how to look for one that suits your interests and circumstances.

A facilitator leads discussion about the benefits of volunteering and the rights and responsibilities of volunteers and the organisations they support. There is space to reflect, ask questions and explore where to find opportunities.

The workshop is free and booking is essential. It is for people in Australia, with a focus on New South Wales. No previous volunteering experience is needed; people returning to volunteering or new to Australia are welcome too.
