Climate Fresk: explore climate change together

The format gives you an active role in piecing the subject together, rather than only listening to a presentation. It also makes room for reflection and conversation after exploring the science.

Work through the connections behind climate change with Climate Fresk, an online workshop built around a deck of 42 cards. In a small group, you arrange the cards to connect human activities, climate processes and their effects. The organiser describes the material as drawn from IPCC climate assessment reports.

A facilitator guides the group through building a cause-and-effect map, adding creative touches and summarising what you have learned. There is time to share feelings and reflections before discussing possible individual and collective actions. No previous climate knowledge is required.

The online workshop costs USD 35; book through Eventbrite. You will need a working camera, microphone and stable internet connection. The session uses a video call and a shared digital whiteboard to move cards and draw connections.
