Die Wildnis Zuhause: Levi Fitze’s wildlife photographs in Luzern
An evening of Alpine animal photographs and the stories behind them, at the Verkehrshaus Filmtheater.
Why it caught our eye
Levi pairs close observation of Alpine animals with an honest look at the patience behind a photograph. It’s an invitation to notice the wildlife living nearer than we might think.
About this experience
Join wildlife photographer Levi Fitze at the Verkehrshaus Filmtheater in Luzern for Die Wildnis Zuhause. His Explora live talk brings the Swiss Alps into view through photographs of lynx, wolves, stoats and grouse. Alongside the images, he shares the waiting, observation and unexpected encounters that made them possible.
What you can expect
Hear how Levi works in steep terrain and changing weather, sometimes waiting weeks for the right moment. He looks at the ways animals manage cold and scarce food, including changes in coat colour and hibernation. His own story begins as a boy with a camera and develops through time spent getting to know wildlife and its habitats.
