Die Wildnis Zuhause: Levi Fitze’s Alpine animal stories in Nottwil
A Sunday afternoon of wildlife photography and Alpine field stories at Schweizer Paraplegiker-Zentrum Nottwil.
Why it caught our eye
This afternoon gives the images time to unfold through the photographer’s own stories. The mix of animal observation and the work behind each shot makes nearby wilderness feel worth a closer look.
About this experience
Make time on Sunday afternoon for a closer look at the wild animals of the Swiss Alps. Levi Fitze brings Die Wildnis Zuhause to Schweizer Paraplegiker-Zentrum Nottwil, sharing his nature photographs in an Explora live talk. Lynx, wolves, stoats and grouse are among the animals whose lives he has spent time observing.
What you can expect
The photographs come with accounts of weeks spent waiting in mountain terrain, learning animal behaviour and trying again when an image doesn’t work out. Levi explores how wildlife copes with little food and changing temperatures, including hibernation and changes in coat colour. He also looks back at the boy with a camera whose curiosity grew into a life of nature photography.
