Sunday Café Meditation in Geneva
A Sunday introduction to Buddhist meditation with Angela, combining two short teaching and practice sessions with a coffee, tea and pastry break.
Why it caught our eye
Two short periods of teaching and meditation, with a shared refreshment break between them, offer an approachable way to explore Buddhist practice without committing to a whole course.
What you can expect
Each 90-minute meeting has two 30-minute sessions led by Angela, each combining a short Buddhist teaching and a guided meditation. A 30-minute break between them makes time for coffee or tea and pastries. The programme explores compassion in October, bereavement in November, and useful meditations for the holidays in December. You can choose one Sunday or return for another; attendance at the full series is not required. Chairs and floor cushions are available, and previous meditation experience is not needed.
Good to know before you go
The venue is CMK de Genève, 41 bis route de Frontenex, 1207 Genève, Switzerland. The total ordinary price is CHF 20 per meeting: CHF 15 for the teaching plus a mandatory CHF 5 for coffee and refreshments. Benefactor members and PG, PF or PFE pass holders pay only the CHF 5 refreshment charge. Ask the centre if you need guidance in a language other than French. The centre confirms wheelchair access. Wear comfortable clothes and remove your shoes inside; nothing needs to be brought, though writing materials are useful for notes. Use the event page for attendance details, or contact the centre about registration.
