Meditation & Inner WorkWorkshop·CMK de Genève, Genève

Children’s Sunday Meditation in Geneva

A gentle introduction to Buddhist meditation for children aged 5–12, with short practices, a creative activity and time together with an accompanying adult.

Why it caught our eye

Short meditations sit alongside creative play and a shared snack, giving children a friendly first experience of Buddhist practice with an adult beside them.

What you can expect

The afternoon combines a teaching adapted for children, short guided meditations, and a craft activity or cooperative game. There is also a shared snack. The programme offers different ways to take part, rather than asking children to sit quietly for the whole session.

Good to know before you go

For children aged 5–12, accompanied by an adult. CHF 10 covers one child and their accompanying adult; each additional child costs CHF 5. The centre provides cushions and chairs and has wheelchair access at its Geneva venue. Comfortable clothing is recommended, and shoes are removed inside. The programme is published in French; the spoken language is not stated separately. Use the official event page or contact the centre for participation arrangements.

What this is

At CMK de Genève, children can explore simple ways to relax their bodies and settle their minds. This afternoon workshop brings Buddhist ideas into everyday situations children recognise, with attention to patience, kindness and helping one another. An adult joins each child throughout the session.
