Forest Bathing with Live Guidance on Zoom

Explore a place near you through sensory invitations, optional sharing and a closing tea gathering on Zoom.

Why it caught our eye

The shared circle brings different landscapes into conversation while leaving each participant free to respond to the nature around them.

About this experience

Let a familiar patch of nature become the focus of your attention. This remotely guided forest-bathing session connects people in different landscapes through Zoom. Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a mindfulness practice of noticing the natural world through your senses, rather than a hike or a swim.

What you can expect

The guide offers invitations to explore your surroundings, with room to follow whatever draws your attention. Return to the Zoom circle between explorations for optional sharing. The session closes with a tea gathering: bring your own favourite drink and a snack. Walking is usually less than a mile, and you can participate without moving around.

Good to know before you go

Complete the organiser's release form linked on the booking page before taking part. Choose a suitable outdoor place if weather and your circumstances allow; notice local hazards and tell someone where you are going and when you will return. Bring an internet-connected device, water, suitable shoes and weather protection, plus any prescribed emergency medication. A timer is useful if you step away from a laptop at home. Refund requests are accepted up to two days before the event.
