Nonviolent Communication with Susanne and Yasemin in Heidelberg
Practise noticing, naming feelings and expressing needs through mindfulness exercises and small-group work with two course leaders.
Why it caught our eye
Small-group practice turns a communication method into something you can try with other people, while mindfulness invites you to notice what is happening within you.
About this experience
How can you say what matters to you while staying open to someone else? Susanne Hase and Dr. Yasemin Tuna-Nörling lead this introduction to Nonviolent Communication at Yogazentrum Heidelberg. Developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, the approach brings attention to what we observe, feel, need and ask for. Playful mindfulness exercises and small-group work give you a way to explore those steps through experience.
What you can expect
Work with four steps: observing without judgement, expressing feelings, naming needs and making requests. The course makes room to practise and deepen them, with themes such as saying no and questioning beliefs. Susanne brings a background in art therapy and MBSR mindfulness teaching; Yasemin is a yoga teacher, yoga therapist and Nonviolent Communication trainer.
