Autumn Wildlife Garden Workshop in Wattenwil

A practical morning creating winter shelter and habitat for hedgehogs, insects and other garden wildlife.

Why it caught our eye

The workshop works with what each place can offer rather than aiming for a perfect garden. Its ideas are intended to be useful for people with a large garden as well as those with a small balcony.

What you can expect

Look closely at the course garden, identify its potential and help build one or two shelters, food sources or overwintering spaces for wildlife. Simon also explains which seemingly tidy autumn jobs can remove valuable habitat, with time for questions.

Good to know before you go

The workshop is in German and costs CHF 80; a valid voucher code makes participation free. Booking closes on 18 October at 12:00. The exact Wattenwil venue and tools to bring will be emailed to participants. Priority is given to residents of the named Gürbetal project municipalities; others should email info@gantrisch.ch, although participation is possible regardless of residence.

What this is

Explore an autumn garden with Simon Bolz and learn how simple, nature-friendly choices can support wildlife through winter and into spring. In a group of 6–12, you will combine short explanations with hands-on work and create one or two useful structures such as a branch pile.
