Home in Yourself: Mindful Self-Compassion for the Holidays
Explore guided mindfulness, reflection and conversation for meeting holiday pressures with more kindness toward yourself.
Why it caught our eye
Its focus on needs, limits and relationships makes the holiday theme practical, with guided exercises and space to reflect rather than a single answer for everyone.
About this experience
The holidays can hold connection alongside difficult family dynamics, loneliness or familiar emotional patterns. Join Wade Maggert and Jo Sullivan to explore self-compassion: offering yourself some of the kindness you would give a friend in a hard moment.
What you can expect
Move between guided mindfulness and self-compassion practices, short presentations, reflection exercises and opportunities for conversation. Explore noticing your needs, honouring limits and responding to difficult interactions while staying connected with yourself.
Good to know before you go
Everyone is welcome, with no meditation or mindfulness experience required. Sharing personal information is always optional. The practices welcome different backgrounds and beliefs. Presented with the Houston Zen Center. Refunds are available up to seven days before the workshop.
