I Wish I Had…: A Meditation Retreat on the Meaning of Life
A one-day Kadampa meditation retreat in Dresden with three guided sessions, short explanations and time for questions.
Why it caught our eye
Three guided sessions give this year-end retreat a clear rhythm, with enough space between them for questions and thoughtful conversation.
About this experience
At Kadampa Meditation Centre Dresden, Gen Kelsang Lobma leads a day of reflection inspired by the opening stages of Lamrim, the gradual path presented in Tibetan Buddhism. Short explanations, guided meditations and discussion invite participants to consider the limited nature of life and what gives it direction and meaning. Coffee, tea and lunch breaks leave room for conversation and questions.
What you can expect
The day is arranged as three sessions between 10:00 and 16:00. Each includes a short teaching and a guided meditation, with a coffee or tea break and a lunch break between sessions. The organiser asks participants to arrive about ten minutes early.
Good to know before you go
The retreat costs EUR 25 and is included in the centre's membership cards. It is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. Registration is recommended because it helps the centre reserve a place and communicate changes, but it is not mandatory. The programme is held in German.
