Nuclear Energy: Two Perspectives in Caluso
Hear two different views on nuclear energy’s place in the energy transition, then bring your own questions into the discussion.
Why it caught our eye
Both speakers answer the same four questions before the floor opens to the audience, making room to compare their reasoning.
About this experience
Take an evening to listen, compare ideas and ask your own questions about nuclear energy. In Caluso, the CER della Morena Frontale Canavesana brings together physicist Angelo Tartaglia and engineer Marco De Pietra for a public discussion of its place in the energy transition. Matteo Stoppa introduces and moderates the exchange. Each speaker has time to set out a perspective before responding to the same questions, giving you a common thread to follow through their different answers.
What you can expect
After the introduction, each speaker has 25 uninterrupted minutes. The moderator then puts four questions to both, followed by questions from the audience. Angelo Tartaglia is an emeritus physics professor at Politecnico di Torino; Marco De Pietra is an engineer with nuclear-power-plant experience.
Good to know before you go
Entry is free, with a capacity of 150. The organiser recommends reserving a place on Eventbrite. The event takes place in the conference hall at Via Sant’Andrea 1.
