Make Your Own Mala with Carmen in Sirnach
Choose beads, explore mala traditions and knot your own meditation necklace with Carmen.
Why it caught our eye
The beadwork gives you something concrete to focus on while exploring intention and meditation traditions. Personal choice runs through the workshop, from the stones you select to the meaning you bring to your mala.
About this experience
Spend a creative morning with Carmen Calabrese at Atelier Cinzia Iacovelli. You’ll make a mala, a string of beads traditionally used to count repetitions during meditation or mantra practice. Choose stones and colours around an intention that matters to you.
What you can expect
Carmen introduces mala traditions and mantras, repeated sounds or phrases used in meditation. She guides you through choosing and arranging your beads, then knotting them step by step. There is time for quiet work and conversation as your necklace takes shape.
Good to know before you go
The CHF 128 workshop fee includes a manual, snacks and drinks. Materials cost extra and are charged by use on the day: a mala starts at about CHF 39, with no fixed upper limit depending on your stones. Prices are displayed on site. Online cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before the start.
