Learn Jangama Meditation: Free Online Session
Explore silent meditation with Jangama’s volunteer instructors, with time to practise, ask questions and consider how to begin at home.
Why it caught our eye
Practice and questions sit alongside the teaching, so you can try the technique and ask about what you notice rather than only hearing an explanation.
About this experience
A meditation practice can begin with learning how to sit and where to place your attention. This online session introduces Jangama, a silent technique in which you close your eyes and gently focus between the eyebrows, without repeating words or imagining a scene. Jangama’s volunteer instructors combine practical teaching with a meditation period and questions. The repeating six-part course explores the mind’s habits and ways to establish a daily practice. You can join at any point, whether you are new to meditation or already have experience. People of any faith or none are welcome.
What you can expect
Learn the basics of silent meditation, sit for a meditation period and ask the instructor for clarification. The course draws on the teachings of Shiva Rudra Balayogi; sessions are led by trained volunteers.
Good to know before you go
The course is free. Book your place to receive the online joining link and further information. It repeats in six weekly parts and allows you to start at any point.
