Mindful Eating Lunches with Selene Yan

Bring your lunch to a guided Zoom practice exploring taste, texture and the body's signals, with space to eat at your own pace.

Why it caught our eye

An everyday meal becomes the practice itself, with simple invitations to notice and no food rules or pressure to speak.

About this experience

Set aside your usual lunchtime distractions and give your meal an hour of attention. Selene Yan guides mindful eating: noticing food through the senses and paying attention to hunger, fullness and the experience of each bite. Bring the lunch you would like to eat. You may explore tastes and textures, slow down to savour your food, and pause to notice what is happening in your body. Reflection and sharing are optional, and you can turn your camera off while eating. Each session stands on its own, so you can join for a single lunch.

What you can expect

A 60-minute guided session on Zoom with your own lunch. The focus varies and may include the five senses, hunger and fullness cues, or eating with fewer distractions.
