Tai Chi and Meditation Weekend at St. Mary’s Sewanee
A December weekend of tai chi, seated meditation and partner exercises with Gordon Peerman and Ryan Black.
Why it caught our eye
The programme connects quiet sitting with the practical details of movement: stance, the waist and responding to another person. Beginners can explore these foundations alongside continuing practitioners.
What you can expect
Practise standing and movement skills, return to seated meditation, and explore light two-person exercises involving touch. Both beginners and experienced participants are welcome. Teaching runs Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning, with breaks and shared meals. This is the retreat’s specific tai chi and meditation programme; continuous silence is not advertised on the current host page.
