Morning Elements: Qigong with Aniekeme Noack
A gentle morning practice in Basel’s Schwarzpark, with flowing movement, attentive breathing and moments of stillness. Aniekeme Noack welcomes beginners.
Why it caught our eye
The focus on gentle movement and listening to the body gives beginners a clear way into qigong. Practising in Schwarzpark when the weather allows brings the five-element theme into an outdoor setting.
What you can expect
Aniekeme Noack guides slow, flowing movements, conscious breathing and quiet pauses. The practice draws on the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. You are encouraged to notice how movement feels rather than aim for perfect form. No previous experience is needed. The class takes place in the park when weather permits, with the studio available if it rains.
Good to know before you go
Register through Yoga im Gärtnerhuus for the morning classes on 24 September, 1 October and 8 October 2026, from 09:00 to 09:45 local time (Europe/Zurich). The meeting venue is Yoga im Gärtnerhuus, Gellertstrasse 133, 4052 Basel, Switzerland, in Schwarzpark. Doors open at 08:45. Teaching is in English and German. The studio lists CHF 22 as the standard price per class, CHF 17 as the supported rate and CHF 25 as the supporter rate. Choose the tier that fits your financial situation when booking. Each date can be booked separately, so joining one class does not commit you to the whole three-session series. Check your selected date in the booking calendar. Advance registration is required. Wear comfortable clothes. Mats and equipment are provided, and the studio practice is barefoot. The indoor studio is on the first floor, reached by a steep staircase with no lift. For class bookings, cancel at least 24 hours beforehand to retain a refund or class credit; later cancellations are charged. Check the current calendar before travelling.
