Vegetarian Christmas Cooking at Hiltl
Make vegetarian and vegan versions of festive favourites, cook a shared menu and receive the recipes afterwards.
Why it caught our eye
This class gives familiar Christmas dishes a vegetarian or vegan interpretation. Cooking the menu and sharing it afterwards makes the ideas practical, with recipes to try again at home.
What you can expect
An opening apéritif, guided cooking in small teams and a shared meal. Explore vegetarian and vegan versions of festive dishes, then receive the recipes and tips by email. Each class lasts three and a half hours and is booked separately.
Good to know before you go
One standard place costs CHF 185 in total, as shown for card payment in the official booking picker. Courses take place at Hiltl Akademie, fifth floor of Haus Hiltl, Sihlstrasse 24, 8001 Zürich. What this is
Christmas cooking can make room for different ways of eating. At Hiltl Akademie in Zürich, Omas Weihnachtsküche explores vegetarian and vegan versions of traditional festive dishes, with meatloaf and Wellington among the examples in the programme. The academy’s teaching team guides you through practical recipes and techniques to bring into your own kitchen. After an opening apéritif, you work in small teams on a menu with several courses. Fresh ingredients and seasonal produce are part of the approach. Once the cooking is finished, the group sits down to enjoy the food together. Hiltl sends the recipes and useful tips as a PDF by email after the class. The course takes place on the fifth floor of Haus Hiltl at Sihlstrasse 24. Each three-and-a-half-hour class is booked separately, so you choose one available date rather than committing to a series.
