Online Zen: a six-week course with Wolfgang Moku Dou Fox

The small tea ceremony sits alongside repeated rounds of meditation, giving the evening a rhythm beyond simply joining a video call. We also like that newcomers are shown the posture and breathing practices before settling into the group.

Make room for a regular meditation practice from home with Zen Frankfurt City. Wolfgang Moku Dou Fox and his team lead a six-week online course that brings together zazen, or seated Zen meditation, guided meditations and Daishin Zen exercises. A small tea ceremony is part of the shared rhythm. New participants receive an introduction to sitting posture, breathing and the way the group practises together.

You meet online via Zoom for six Thursday evenings, each lasting 90 minutes. The group alternates shared zazen rounds with guided meditation and Daishin Zen exercises. The course welcomes beginners and experienced meditators. You can join at the first or second evening of the course; this is a course booking, with no single-evening trial.

The six-evening course costs EUR 70 per person, or EUR 50 for pupils, students and apprentices. Complete a separate registration form for each participant. Read the organiser’s participation conditions before booking: discuss any uncertainty about your ability to take part with a doctor and tell the organiser about relevant health limitations. If you have a diagnosed mental health condition, contact Zen Frankfurt City before registering to discuss suitability. Meditation does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic care.
