Sound and stillness with Liz in Eastville
Tea, a grounding meditation and an hour of sound and quiet reflection at St Anne’s Church.
Why it caught our eye
Tea, a little meditation and space to reflect give the soundwork a gentle beginning and ending.
About this experience
Make room for a slower evening as autumn gives way to winter. Liz from Inner Adventure welcomes you to St Anne’s Church for sound, rest and reflection. Her approach brings together sound sequences, mindfulness and guided self-reflection, drawing on her training with the British Academy of Sound Therapy.
What you can expect
Begin with warm tea and a short grounding meditation, then make yourself comfortable for the soundwork. Liz may use a gong, Himalayan or crystal singing bowls and gentle percussion in her sound sequences. There is quiet time to reflect afterwards, followed by nourishing treats before you leave.
Good to know before you go
Bring a yoga mat, blankets, pillows, water and a small journal. Warm socks, an eye mask and a hot-water bottle are recommended. Doors open at 17:45 and lock at 18:00, so arrive before the session starts. Book through Eventbrite by 17:00 on the day. The organiser quotes £15; the current Eventbrite offer is £16.96. Complete the organiser’s participation form before taking part. Contact Liz before booking if you are under 18, less than three months pregnant, have metal plates in your body, sound-induced epilepsy or seizures, recent surgery, a tendency to anaphylaxis, or a diagnosis of or treatment for clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, PTSD or another serious mental health condition. These circumstances prompt a conversation and do not automatically rule out attending.
