Breath and Mantra Meditation in Geneva
A morning of Kadampa teaching and guided meditation with Guèn Kelsang Jikgyob, with a break for tea and conversation.
Why it caught our eye
The programme gives time to try the same practice in four guided meditations, with teaching alongside it and a pause between sessions.
What you can expect
Guèn Kelsang Jikgyob teaches a breathing meditation using the mantra OM AH HOUM. The first hour combines teaching with two guided meditations, followed by a 30-minute break with coffee, tea and a snack. The second hour returns to teaching and two guided meditations. The centre welcomes beginners and people who are not Buddhist; you can sit on a chair or a floor cushion.

What this is
This urban meditation morning at Centre de méditation Kadampa Genève explores a breathing practice combined with the mantra OM AH HOUM. Guèn Kelsang Jikgyob leads two teaching sessions, each with two guided meditations. A shared refreshment break separates the sessions. The focus is on working with a restless mind through a specific Buddhist practice, rather than a residential retreat.
