ReYorkshire: A Regional Approach to Circular Economy
A free online talk on practical reuse projects across York and North Yorkshire, from construction materials to coffee grounds.
Why it caught our eye
The construction hub and coffee-ground pilot make reuse tangible, showing how one sector’s surplus can become another’s useful material.
What you can expect
The 1-hour talk covers stakeholder and material-flow mapping, a planned construction reuse hub and pilots such as using spent coffee grounds in personal-care products. Examples span construction, agriculture, manufacturing and community reuse, with a look at how the approach could extend to other regions.
Good to know before you go
This is a free online session on Zoom. Register through Eventbrite; its current registration offer closes the evening before the event. The exact access-link delivery is not specified. The programme is funded by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority and forms part of Circular Economy Week.
What this is
See how a region can put circular-economy ideas into practice. Reusefully and partners share progress from ReYorkshire, an eighteen-month programme developing ways to reuse materials and connect resources across local sectors.
