Rooted Support: Foundational Practices for Nervous System Care
Explore body awareness and everyday nervous system care with Amy Day and Laura M. Ridenour in a live online workshop.
Why it caught our eye
The workshop pairs explanation with practices you can try during the session. That gives a concrete starting point for a subject that can otherwise feel abstract, with two facilitators whose backgrounds are described clearly.
About this experience
Make room to notice how you meet the present moment through your body. In this introductory workshop, Amy Day and Laura M. Ridenour combine nervous system education with participatory embodiment practices: exercises that bring attention to bodily experience.
What you can expect
The facilitators introduce foundational concepts, lead interactive practices and share resources for exploring body awareness in everyday life. Amy brings Somatic Experiencing and trauma-sensitive yoga experience; Laura brings Somatic Experiencing, education and organisational consulting. No background in somatic work or trauma-informed care is needed.
