Silent Retreat with Yoga & Satsang in Costa Rica
A nine-day stay at PachaMama built around a seven-day silent retreat with yoga, meditation and twice-daily Satsang.
Why it caught our eye
The retreat gives silence a clear daily shape without making it solitary: yoga, active and seated meditation, and twice-daily Satsang create shared points of orientation throughout the week.
About this experience
Settle into PachaMama’s forest community near Nosara for a week held largely in silence. Each day combines silent yoga, several forms of meditation and Satsang, guided gatherings with Tyohar for listening and reflection. The week closes with a traditional sweatlodge by the river.
What you can expect
Days begin around 06:00 with Dynamic Meditation or silent yoga. Morning and evening Satsang frame meditation, mindful movement, meals and quieter time in nature. Dynamic and Kundalini meditation are active practices that may use movement, breath and stillness. Participants commit to silence through the week, including no phones, journalling or music, until the closing circle. First-time silent-retreat participants are welcome alongside experienced practitioners.
