Atem & Wandel: New Year Retreat in the Black Forest

Close the year with breath, movement and time to listen inward. Jael and Nico of Kernwärts bring Emotional Release Breathwork, guided meditation and a sweat lodge ceremony to a residential retreat at Das Wandelhaus near Wolfach.

The retreat opens with a shared dinner and an opening ritual. Breathwork, reflection and a sweat lodge ceremony accompany the turn of the year; cacao and Ecstatic Dance follow, with a closing circle before departure. Ecstatic Dance invites movement without a fixed sequence of steps. Every activity is optional, and you can step back for rest or quiet whenever you need. The hosts plan for 15 participants.

Three nights and vegetarian or vegan full board cost CHF 880 per person in a shared room. A double room costs CHF 920 per person and must be booked by two people together. Bathrooms are shared; single rooms are unavailable. Offsite accommodation is possible by arrangement, with pricing to confirm directly. Pay the full amount in advance; instalments can be arranged. Cancellation at least 90 days ahead incurs CHF 100, or CHF 300 at least 30 days ahead; later cancellation is unavailable. Check-in begins at 15:00, the shared opening dinner is at 18:00, and checkout is at 12:00. The organiser's detailed timetable takes precedence over the different clocks on the event listing.
