Slow Sundays: Yang-to-Yin Yoga, Cacao and Community
Begin with warm cacao, move from a flowing yoga practice into longer-held postures and meditation, then linger over conversation at The Ministry.
Why it caught our eye
We like the deliberate shift from movement to stillness, followed by time to meet people without rushing straight out of class.
About this experience
Make a little room in your Sunday for movement, stillness and company. Ava and Bridget of Meala Soul guide a 90-minute Yang-to-Yin practice at The Ministry in Borough. Yang brings a flowing, more active sequence; Yin slows the pace with postures held for longer. You can join as a beginner or with an established practice.
What you can expect
Ceremonial cacao welcomes you on arrival. Ava leads the opening flow, followed by slower Yin stretching, gentle acupressure, self-massage and a short guided meditation with Bridget. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay on the terrace and buy coffee or pastries from the café.
Good to know before you go
The venue is for over-18s. Wear clothes you can move in. Mats and props are provided, and you may bring your own. Two community places are offered at half price with code Sunday50 if cost is a barrier; availability is limited. Café purchases are separate.
