Sound Bath and Journaling in Mountain View Park
A small outdoor circle with Michelle Castro, moving from listening under the trees to guided writing and optional conversation.
Why it caught our eye
The movement from listening to writing gives this small gathering a thoughtful shape, and the option to stay quiet leaves space for different ways of participating.
About this experience
Settle onto your mat beneath the trees at Mountain View Park for a morning that makes room for listening and reflection. Michelle Castro’s gathering begins with a sound bath, a period of resting while you listen to sound, before turning toward your own words with gentle journaling prompts. The group then comes together in a sharing circle. You can speak about what came up, or simply listen; sharing is always optional. With a maximum of ten participants and no previous experience needed, the format offers a clear way into both sound practice and reflective writing.
What you can expect
You’ll arrive and meet the group, settle into the sound bath, then spend time writing and reflecting before the closing circle. Bring a yoga mat or another comfortable surface to lie on, a blanket, an optional pillow, a journal and a pen.
Good to know before you go
Tickets are USD 17.85. Meet at Mountain View Park, 1401 West Riverside Drive, Burbank; the exact spot within the park will be emailed a few days beforehand. Arrive a little early and bring water, sunscreen and a light layer. If rain is forecast, Michelle will email about rescheduling or a refund.
