Sovereignty Through Sound with Radhika Vekaria
Explore mantra, breath and gesture with Radhika Vekaria in an active group sound workshop.
Why it caught our eye
This is an active sound workshop rather than a listening-only performance. Practice and explanation sit together, giving you a way to explore what mantra means while trying it.
About this experience
Bring your own voice into this workshop with Radhika Vekaria at SF Dharma Collective. Sovereignty Through Sound explores mantra, repeated sacred sounds or phrases, alongside breath and mudra, symbolic hand gestures. No previous experience is required.
What you can expect
Practise chanting, breathing and gesture together as a group, with explanations rooted in yogic philosophy. Radhika introduces the meaning of mantra and Nāda yoga, a practice of attending to sound, and invites you to explore these ideas through your own voice and body.
Good to know before you go
Humanitix offers a pay-what-you-can donation ticket of US$30–50 and a scholarship ticket up to US$30 for people with limited funds. Any additional donation is optional. Attend in person; this workshop is not offered online.
