Sunday Soul Flow Yoga at Baker Beach
A breath-led beach practice with Julie Aiello, combining a steady vinyasa flow, music through headphones and a final rest beside the ocean.
Why it caught our eye
Headphone-guided yoga brings a shared rhythm to this beach practice while keeping the waves, open sky and Golden Gate views part of the experience.
About this experience
Practise with sand beneath your mat and the waves in view at Baker Beach. Julie Aiello guides a slow, steady flow that connects breathing with movement, with attention to alignment and room to find your own way into each posture. Vinyasa means linking poses through the breath; here it takes an accessible, unhurried form. Music and teaching come through headphones, bringing the shared practice into focus while you stay outdoors. The class ends in savasana, a resting pose, with time to lie still and take in the beach setting. Newcomers and regular practitioners are welcome, as are families and accompanying dogs.
What you can expect
Move through a creative sequence of stretching and strengthening postures with deep breathing and a down-tempo soundtrack. Julie offers alignment guidance while leaving space for individual movement. Finish with a quiet rest and the ocean close by.
Good to know before you go
The booking offer is USD 35.81. Bring a beach towel or an old yoga mat and wear layers; a warm jacket and hat are recommended for foggy weather. Children under ten can join free, either practising alongside you or playing nearby. There is free parking and a bathroom building at the back of the north parking lot.
