Agroecology at Gmüeserei Sissach: Garden Tour and Talks

Visit a vegetable-growing cooperative and explore soil, water and food through talks and discussion.

Why it caught our eye

Richard Wymann brings examples from his permaculture project in Niederried, giving the discussion of drought a practical connection to growing food.

What you can expect

The tour introduces the Gmüeserei garden. In the talks, Timur Liwinski joins remotely to discuss food, the gut and mental health. Richard Wymann shares experience from permaculture in Niederried, and Stefan Schwarzer discusses regenerative farming and soil. An interview with Nadia Graber looks at agroforestry and resilience to drought. The programme also introduces the cooperative and the Agroecology Works! network.

Good to know before you go

This is a public event with a voluntary collection as you leave. The tour meets at the Gmüeserei shed, Ebenrainweg 25f, 4450 Sissach. The talks take place in the Ebenrain Centre’s aula at Ebenrainweg 27. The event is presented in German. Choose the programme part in the schedule and follow its event page for details.
