Yin Yoga and the Metal element in Zürich
Explore autumn through Chinese five-element teachings, then settle into a long Yin Yoga practice with Laura Jackson and Alexandra Hunziker.
Why it caught our eye
The pairing gives you time to hear the ideas behind the practice and then explore them through stillness, instead of moving straight through a sequence.
About this experience
At the SOULSPACE Seefeld, this workshop brings a seasonal idea into a quiet physical practice. Laura Jackson introduces the Metal element in Traditional Chinese Medicine, associated in that tradition with autumn, letting go and clarity. Alexandra Hunziker then guides you into Yin Yoga: gentle positions held for longer, with time to notice how each one feels.
What you can expect
Laura shares the five-element framework and its traditional associations with emotions and the body. Alexandra follows with a 90-minute Yin sequence, focusing on the back, chest, shoulders and sides of the body. You can come with experience or try this slower style for the first time. The traditional framework is the workshop’s teaching context, rather than a promise of medical treatment.
Good to know before you go
The workshop costs CHF85 and is taught in German. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome. The booking page allows cancellation up to two weeks before the event; check the terms when reserving.
