Sanctuary Awards 2026: conservation and sustainability livestream
Watch short films and award presentations recognising conservation, heritage and sustainability projects across the Ministry of Defence estate.
Why it caught our eye
The project films put practical conservation and resource-saving work into view, offering more detail than a list of award names.
About this experience
This free livestream opens a window onto conservation and sustainability work on land and property used by the UK Ministry of Defence. You can follow the Sanctuary Awards from home, hearing about projects that care for wildlife, conserve heritage or rethink energy and resources. The Sanctuary Team welcomes anyone who would like to watch.
What you can expect
The ceremony combines a guest speaker, short films about winning projects and trophy presentations. Award categories cover climate resilience, energy, environmental improvement, heritage, community impact and wider sustainability work. The programme also recognises sustainability’s contribution to operational capability, with the Silver Otter Trophy selected from the category winners.
