Questions about death often bring us back to how we want to live. In this online course, psychiatrist Stanislav Grof’s recorded teachings open a conversation about consciousness, identity and mortality. Live discussions led by Jay Dufrechou bring guest perspectives to the material. Grof’s spiritual interpretations sit alongside accounts of near-death experiences and the history of psychedelic research.
What you can expect
Each of seven 90-minute classes combines a recorded teaching from Grof with a live guest conversation, hosted by Jay Dufrechou, and time for questions. Topics include unusual states of consciousness, death and rebirth in spiritual traditions, near-death experiences and historical psychedelic research. Guests include Jack Kornfield and Rick Doblin. Optional half-hour breakout conversations and exercises offer ways to reflect with others and between meetings.
Good to know before you go
The full course costs USD 349, or USD 384 in three instalments of USD 128. Recordings, transcripts and ongoing access to the materials are included; optional breakouts are not recorded. The focus is learning and discussion. Grof Breathwork is not taught or practised in these classes.
