Voice Alchemy: Kirtan, Mantras & Sound

The trio makes room for participation without asking people to perform. Call-and-response singing, live instruments and quieter listening offer different ways to take part.

A 2-hour gathering with call-and-response kirtan, mantras, live songs, breath and voice practice, rhythm and a sound journey. Singing, humming and listening are all welcome.

Sessions: 24 October, 14 November and 5 December 2026, each 18:00–20:00 Europe/Zurich. Book each date separately through Eventfrog. Ordinary solo admission is CHF 45; duo admission is CHF 35 per person when attending together. CHF 25 is restricted to students, KulturLegi holders and people on a low income. The organiser lists DPC Yoga, Am Stadtrand 56, 8600 Dübendorf, Switzerland, for all three dates. The November ticket page still says venue to be announced; check your booking confirmation before travelling. The ticket pages list doors at 15:45 in October/November and 17:45 in December; confirm arrival details for your chosen date. Online ticket sales end at 20:00 on each event date. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Registration is binding; check the organiser’s cancellation terms before booking. If spoken language matters to you, confirm it with the organiser. The descriptions are in German and English; the spoken event language is not separately confirmed.

Voice Alchemy brings voice, rhythm and live instruments into a participatory evening. Sabina Elsa Astolfi, Tony Majdalani and Efisio Contini guide kirtan, mantra singing, conscious breathing and somatic voice exercises, with time to listen and settle into sound. Sabina works with singing and voice practice, Tony brings percussion, and Efisio contributes guitar, singing and other instruments. The gathering welcomes people without singing experience. You can join in at your own pace; participation is optional. The dates are separate two-hour gatherings, so choose the session that suits you rather than booking a required course. The organiser announces DPC Yoga in Dübendorf for all three dates. The November booking page still lists its venue as to be announced; check your confirmation before travelling.

  Sabina Elsa Astolfi is a singer and voice coach whose work combines vocal practice with mantra and listening. She guides the singing and voice elements of Voice Alchemy.

  Tony Majdalani is a musician, percussionist and teacher based in Zurich. He teaches individual and group percussion and brings rhythm and live percussion to Voice Alchemy.

  Efisio Contini is a guitarist, singer and multi-instrumentalist. At Voice Alchemy he contributes guitar, voice and layered instrumental sounds to the trio’s shared music.
