Weekend Vipassana with Nicolas Derungs
A silent residential Vipassana retreat in the Swiss Pre-Alps, offered on two weekends.
Why it caught our eye
A residential setting, an experienced meditation teacher and a centre dedicated to practice make this a focused way to spend a weekend in silence.
About this experience
Settle into a quiet residential weekend of Vipassana meditation at Maison Mudita in Abländschen. Nicolas Derungs guides a sustained practice of mindfulness, with silence and simple shared living creating space to step away from everyday routines.
What you can expect
Arrive on Friday for a light meal, remain for the full silent weekend and finish on Sunday afternoon. The organiser does not publish a detailed daily timetable.
Good to know before you go
CHF 140 covers accommodation and the stated retreat costs; a voluntary teacher donation is offered separately onsite. Bring bed linen, towels, indoor and walking shoes, weatherproof mountain clothing and an alarm, or rent linen for CHF 15. The registration form asks about meditation experience, health history, medication and dietary needs. The original event information is in French.
