Wellbeing Wednesday: Drawing for Mindfulness

A live online drawing session with simple mark-making and attention to the present moment.

Why it caught our eye

The session focuses on noticing the marks you make, rather than producing polished art. It offers a practical, beginner-friendly way to explore mindfulness through drawing.

About this experience

Join WEA tutor Andrew Holder for a live online session exploring drawing as a mindfulness practice. Through simple drawing and mark-making exercises, you’ll bring attention to the senses and to what you notice in the present moment. No previous drawing experience is needed.

What you can expect

Try simple drawing and mark-making exercises in a live, tutor-led group. There is space to share ideas and listen to others. Bring A4 or A5 paper (loose sheets or a sketchbook), a pencil, an eraser, a sharpener, and a flat surface.
