Winter Reconnection Retreat in Amden with Myriam and Mandy
Yoga nidra, sound, mountain walks and shared cooking with Myriam Bartu and Mandy Tsui in Amden.
Why it caught our eye
The combination of guided rest, everyday shared tasks and a night reached on foot gives this retreat a distinctive rhythm between community and time outdoors.
About this experience
Spend four days moving between restful practice and the mountain landscape with Myriam Bartu and Mandy Tsui. Yoga, Qigong, meditation and sound sit alongside yoga nidra, a guided resting practice. The retreat begins at Schwendihaus in Amden and includes a final night at the forested Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald.
What you can expect
A typical day brings morning yoga, Qigong and breathing, a nature walk, personal time, yoga nidra and an evening circle. Forest bathing, mountain walks, a fire ritual and time for journalling are part of the offering; guided snowshoe walking depends on snow. All practice sessions are optional. For the final night, the group walks up to Tscherwald at 1,361 metres, cooks dinner and breakfast together, then walks back down to Amden the following morning.
