Tummo Practice Winter Retreat in Seattle
Four days of direct tummo instruction and group practice with Younge Khachab Rinpoche for appropriately empowered Vajrayana practitioners.
Why it caught our eye
Direct instruction from a teacher in the Kagyu tradition sits alongside shared practice with appropriately prepared practitioners. The clear entry requirement makes the setting for this advanced practice easy to understand.
About this experience
Join Younge Khachab Rinpoche for four days devoted to tummo, the Vajrayana Buddhist practice often translated as “inner fire.” The retreat approaches it through its traditional lineage, bringing meditation, visualization and specific breathing methods together under direct guidance.
What you can expect
Rinpoche will offer oral instructions drawn from Kagyu masters including Tilopa, Naropa, Dakpo Tashi Namgyal and the Second Sharmapa. Practice runs through the day and is held together as a group. Lunch, coffee and tea are included; participants arrange their own lodging, travel and other meals.
Good to know before you go
This is not a beginner retreat. You must already have received a Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment from a qualified teacher. Onsite lodging is not available; shared housing coordination is optional during registration. Erik Drew provides translation. The USD 300 programme fee includes daily lunch, coffee and tea; lodging, travel and other meals are extra.
