Women’s Drum Circle: Release Stress & Anxiety
A 2-hour women’s drum circle in Hammersmith with guided rhythm, sharing and rest.
Why it caught our eye
The clear 2-hour arc combines embodied rhythm, reflection and a closing rest, with an explicit welcome for people who have never drummed before.
About this experience
This women-only circle uses intuitive drumming, singing and optional sharing to explore how stress and anxiety feel in the body. The session is framed as a communal sound practice rather than therapy.
What you can expect
Amélie Thévenet leads meditation and visualisation, drumming alone, in pairs and as a group, optional sharing, and a final drum-led relaxation. Eight natural-skin hand drums are available to borrow.
Good to know before you go
Tickets start at GBP 22.38. Doors open at 19:15 and free parking is listed. Bring a yoga mat or sheepskin, a blanket or shawl, warm layers and your drum if you have one. The organiser describes the practice as trauma-informed but not therapy. Refunds are offered up to seven days before the event.
