Words That Keep Us Together: Conversations for Couples
Explore recurring disagreements through four online sessions on listening, language and repairing conversations with Dr. Richard Rein.
Why it caught our eye
The structure connects reading with repeated practice and questions, giving couples time to work with the same skills between sessions.
About this experience
When the same disagreement keeps returning, it can help to look at how the conversation unfolds. This workshop brings couples together to explore listening, expressing concerns and responding to each other through practical work with Words That Keep Us Together.
What you can expect
The four sessions build in sequence: having conversations, reshaping unhelpful patterns, repairing a conversation after escalation and sharing more openly. Read the relevant book section and complete its reflection exercises before each session, then practise in your own conversations between meetings.
Good to know before you go
Attend the full four-session workshop. The full course costs USD 300 per individual or USD 500 per couple. Buy the required book separately before the workshop. Personal disclosures and role-play with other couples are not required; cameras may be off for privacy. The organiser describes this as a skills workshop, not couples therapy. Full refunds are offered for cancellation at least seven days before it begins.
