Yin Yoga in English with Charlotte at St. Johann
Make room for stillness with longer-held poses and attentive guidance beside the Rhine.
Why it caught our eye
The longer holds and individual adaptations offer a clear way to explore stillness, without needing an established yoga practice.
About this experience
Settle into a quieter kind of yoga with Charlotte at VOLTA YOGA’s St. Johann studio. Yin yoga gives each posture time: rather than moving quickly between shapes, you stay and notice the changing sensations of the body and the movement of the mind. Beginners are welcome.
What you can expect
Hold postures for three to five minutes, with props and adaptations to support your body. Charlotte guides the practice closely, weaving in reminders about breathing, mindfulness and yoga philosophy.
Good to know before you go
Mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters are provided. Drop-in entry is CHF 25, or CHF 15 for students. Cancel through your account at least five hours before class to receive account credit. Later cancellations cannot be refunded or credited; members are charged the drop-in fee for late cancellation. There are changing rooms and lockers, but no showers.
