Yoga for beginners with Rick Shugarman on Zoom
A gentle live class with simple cues, easier pose options and a replay available for seven days.
Why it caught our eye
The practical detail makes this easier to approach as a first yoga class: clear alternatives, privacy around your camera and time to revisit the session through the replay.
About this experience
Rick Shugarman’s Yoga for Beginners is intended for people who have never practised before. The class starts simply and builds gradually, with alternatives for each pose and permission to skip anything that does not feel right.
What you can expect
Join Rick for an hour of live yoga on Zoom. His approach uses clear instructions without yoga jargon, and offers easier versions as you move through the practice. A replay is emailed afterwards and remains available for seven days, whether you attend live or catch up later.
Good to know before you go
The ticket costs USD 15. Have floor space, comfortable clothes and a mat, towel or rug; firm pillows or books are optional props. Download or update Zoom first. In your confirmation, choose Go to My Tickets, then View Links and sign in with your registration email; the link appears thirty minutes before class. Your camera is optional; only Rick and a possible technical co-host can see you, not other students. The organiser asks anyone pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or with back, neck, joint, heart or blood-pressure concerns to check with a doctor first. Skip painful movements and stop with pain or dizziness.
