1001 Celtic Nights: Yoga Nidra and Storytelling
Irish storytelling, gentle movement and guided rest with Tatiana Sorohan, accompanied by live sound.
Why it caught our eye
The story carries through into the resting practice, giving the afternoon a shared seasonal thread rather than treating movement, listening and rest as separate activities.
What you can expect
Begin with gentle movement and breathwork, then take time to form a personal intention. An Irish storyteller shares a seasonal tale before the session moves into Yoga Nidra, a guided resting practice followed while lying comfortably supported by blankets and props. Singing bowls, Koshi chimes and a rainstick accompany the practice. No yoga or meditation experience is needed.
Good to know before you go
The 2-hour workshop costs €45. Segotia is at 3 Ardee Road, Rathmines, Dublin. Check the booking page for current availability. If you’re pregnant, tell the facilitator in advance so suitable positioning and support can be arranged. The organiser asks anyone with medical concerns, acute mental health difficulties, significant trauma symptoms or dissociation to seek appropriate advice before taking part and inform the facilitator where relevant.
What this is
A seasonal story becomes the starting point for an afternoon of guided rest. Tatiana Sorohan’s 1001 Celtic Nights brings Irish storytelling together with gentle movement, Yoga Nidra and live sound as the year turns towards Samhain.
