End of Year Cacao & Bhakti Singing Circle at Yoga am Fluss
An end of year singing circle with cacao at Yoga am Fluss on Hardturmstrasse in Zürich, on Sunday 27 December from 16:00 to 19:00, led by Flavia Ghidossi and Zoe Rüegg. Songs come from several wisdom traditions. Unlike the regular circles, this end of year edition costs CHF 70.
Why it caught our eye
What makes this afternoon stand out is that it puts cacao and singing together at the very end of the year, in a room by the river rather than a studio in the middle of town. It feels like a good choice for someone who wants to close the year in company and in voice, without it being a party. No singing experience is asked for.
What you can expect
Three hours built around ceremonial cacao and group singing, with mantras and medicine songs in Sanskrit, English, Spanish and German, accompanied live on guitar, harmonium, shruti box, drum and rattle. You are welcome to bring an instrument or a song you would like the circle to sing.

No previous singing experience is needed. Songs are sung in Sanskrit, English, Spanish and German. Ceremonial cacao is a stimulant and can interact with antidepressants and some heart medication. If you are pregnant, taking medication or managing a heart condition, speak to the facilitators before taking part.
