Offline (SILENT) Half-Day Retreat

What makes this retreat useful is its scale. It offers a structured experience of silence without asking participants to commit to a multi-day residential retreat. The clear emphasis on stillness, nature and a held beginning and ending also makes the silence feel intentional rather than simply like spending 4 hours without speaking.

After a short briefing, the group moves into guided meditation, mindful presence and longer breathing exercises. Part of the retreat takes place outdoors during a silent walk in the nearby forest. The session closes gently, with time to notice what shifted during the 4 hours. There is no asana flow or movement class.

The retreat does not ask people to navigate 4 unstructured hours alone. A short briefing, guided practices, a forest walk and a gentle closing create clear transitions while preserving the quiet at the centre of the experience.

Although the retreat is offered through Yoga Nest, the programme does not include an asana flow. The focus stays on meditation, breath, mindful presence, stillness and the experience of walking quietly in nature.

The retreat runs from 10:00 to 14:00 on Sunday 16 August 2026 near Rüti in Canton Zürich. The exact meeting point is provided through the booking process. The session is taught in English. The early-bird price of CHF 75 ended on 30 June; the current published price is CHF 99. Wear comfortable layers suitable for sitting and walking outdoors, and bring water and weather-appropriate shoes. This is a silence, breath and meditation retreat, not a yoga-posture class.
